Decorating the Christmas Tree

It has become a sort of a tradition for Nong Grace to invite the English teachers from her school to come around to help decorate the Christmas tree. She wanted to put the tree up in November but we managed to persudade her to wait until at least 1st December.

At the Book Fair

Twice a year, Nong Grace goes to the big book fair at the Queen Sirikit Convention Center in Bangkok. She loves looking for new books for her large collection. They have many bilingual books that are in English and Thai.

Many of the books are discounted from 25% to 50%. So we bought quite a few in the end which should now last her until at least Christmas.

Birthday Party at School

The day after her birthday, Nong Grace took some cakes to school to share with the friends in her class. They then sang "Happy Birthday" to her.

Happy 7th Birthday

Today is the 7th Birthday for Nong Grace. Here are some pictures of her opening her birthday presents. In the evening, she chose to go out and eat at MK.

Swimming Monkeys

At the weekend, we took Nong Grace to see the swimming monkeys in Khlong Khon, Samut Songkhram. We rented a boat so that we could go and see the monkeys. She had a great time feeding the monkeys bananas and also taking their picture. Joinging us on the trip were Kelley and Steve from America. Kelley is Nong Grace's English teacher at school.

Learning Computer

One of Nong Grace's favourite subjects at school is Computer. She learns once a week. In this lesson she is practising to type Thai. She is already very good at typing English bit she says she finds it difficult with Thai.

Birthday Shopping

It is less than a month before Nong Grace's birthday, and as part of her pre-birthday treat, we took her to Central Plaza Bangna today to buy her presents. We do it a month in advance as that is often time enough for her to forget what she chose. She had an enjoyable three hours in Toys R Us, Asia Books and the toy department in Central.
